Consumer Information

Last updated: 7 June 2026

1. Our commitment to you

Spectrum Pro Painting Pty Ltd (ABN 80 676 540 060) is committed to fair, transparent, and professional service. This page explains key information for consumers engaging our painting services, including your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

This information applies to services supplied in trade or commerce. If you are acquiring services wholly or predominantly for business purposes, different terms may apply — please discuss this with us before work commences.

2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Under the ACL, consumers are entitled to certain guarantees when services are supplied, including that services will be:

  • Provided with due care and skill;
  • Fit for any disclosed purpose or result you told us you wanted;
  • Delivered within a reasonable time (where no timeframe is agreed); and
  • Reasonably priced where no price has been agreed in advance.

These consumer guarantees cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by contract. If we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as re-supply of the service, repair, or refund, depending on the nature and severity of the failure.

Learn more at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC): www.accc.gov.au/consumers.

3. Quotes, pricing, and contracts

We provide free quotes and estimates based on the information available at the time — including site inspection where required. Quotes typically outline scope of work, materials, inclusions, exclusions, and pricing.

Unless stated otherwise in your written quote or contract:

  • Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and, where we are registered for GST, include GST unless explicitly noted as GST-exclusive;
  • A quote is an estimate and does not bind either party until accepted in writing;
  • Variations to scope, unforeseen site conditions, or client-requested changes may affect the final price — we will discuss and document variations before proceeding where practicable; and
  • Payment terms, deposits, and schedules will be set out in your project agreement.

4. Deposits, cancellations, and refunds

Deposit and payment requirements depend on the size and nature of each project and will be clearly stated in your written agreement before work begins.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Reasonable costs already incurred (such as materials ordered specifically for your project or scheduled labour) may be charged in accordance with your agreement and applicable law.

Refund entitlements depend on the circumstances, including whether a consumer guarantee has not been met. We will assess each situation fairly and in line with the ACL. Nothing in our agreements removes your statutory rights.

5. Warranties and workmanship

We stand behind our workmanship and use quality coating systems suited to each project. Where a written warranty applies to your project, its terms (including duration and exclusions) will be provided in your quote or completion documentation.

A voluntary warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under the ACL. If you experience a problem with our work, please contact us promptly so we can inspect the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy.

6. Complaints and dispute resolution

We aim to resolve concerns quickly and fairly. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us with:

  • Your name and contact details;
  • Project address and date of service;
  • A clear description of the issue; and
  • Any supporting photos or documents.

We will acknowledge your complaint and work with you to investigate and resolve it within a reasonable timeframe.

If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you may contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the ACCC for general guidance. Depending on the nature and value of the dispute, other avenues such as mediation or the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) may also be available.
